Hashtags, Pro or Con for you? The mystery of the humble hashtag can sometimes be overwhelming, do you agree?
It is recommended to use a variety of hashtags in your posts and stories, so you can reach different communities and audiences.

📌 Instagram posts with at least one hashtag average 12.6% more engagement than those without!
📌 Instagram posts with 11 hashtags generate the highest levels of engagement on average!
📌 LinkedIn – add hashtags to your profile, giving you more visibility across LinkedIn!

Wednesday 6 January 2021 – Images!
Finding the ‘right’ image can be a trip down the rabbit hole, time consuming and the temptation is there to snaffle an image direct from a Google search … this is a big ‘no no’ and quite honestly, not needed!
You do have options: You can pay for images through the likes of Shutterstock and many other sites and there are also some wonderful free sites to use as well.
Below are links to my top 5 choices for accessing free images. Branded imagery is fantastic, but it can be expensive and maybe you’re not quite there yet. If you are starting out or still learning, using free images is a wonderful option. Whether it is for your social media, website, blog or advertising material, you will find something to suit!

… I can hear you all sighing . This is something that most of us have struggled with, particularly for newer businesses or those getting established … what do you post? Check out some ideas below to start you of:
Use client or customer testimonials as branded posts. If you sell products, use reviews as well.
Re-share older posts, or interesting articles, blogs, podcasts or videos. This a great ‘gap’ filler if you are struggling and your newer audience can see them as well!

Do some research (just Google ‘International Days for Social Media’) and find some that resonate for you or your product or service … or just straight out fun ones, like #cleanoffyourdeskday – January 13, 2021 (one for me …!)

ACRONYMS … Boring as Bat S**t? 😲 BUT an everyday part of of our lives!
Google tells us that ‘An acronym is a pronounceable word formed from the first letter (or first few letters) of each word in a phrase or title. Creating a new word that becomes a part of everyday language. Using shortened forms of words or phrases can speed up communication’
Shortening of words and speeding up our lives seems to be the focus, but sometimes it great to know the actual meaning (I’m sure most of you already do) … but this simple CHEAT SHEET, part 1′ covers the most common ones for Business.
